Sorry to hear about your health problems but it sounds like you have a very strong spirit which is an admirable quality!
I love that you have been so keen on being a writer for so long as well, it's always been a passion of mine too but I've only ever managed short stories in the past as I wilt easy! I admire your enthusiasm for this writing event as just reading the rules made me feel pressured and that affects my writing!
